As the sun sets over Eisenhower Park on October 17, thousands of Long Islanders will lift glowing lanterns to honor, remember, and stand with everyone touched by blood cancer. Light The Night is one of the most moving evenings on the Island's calendar — and it doesn't happen without volunteers.
Blood Cancer United is looking for helping hands to welcome participants, hand out lanterns and refreshments, support event activities, and pitch in with setup and cleanup. It's the kind of shift where you'll see the impact in real time: the families walking together, the survivors raising white lanterns, the whole park lit up with hope.
New and returning volunteers are welcome — and it's a great one to bring friends, family, coworkers, or a community group along for. No family should face a blood cancer diagnosis alone, and this is a beautiful way to show them they don't have to.

Where: Eisenhower Park, 1899 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554
