ReWild Long Island’s West Suffolk chapter cares for a rain garden at the Edgewood Oak Brush Plains Preserve in Deer Park — one of the last remaining stretches of this rare habitat on Long Island. Thursday mornings, volunteers gather to tend the garden and help keep this ecological gem in great shape.
It’s a peaceful way to spend a couple hours outdoors in a truly special setting. No experience needed.
