Volunteers are the backbone of Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, a therapeutic riding center in Islandia that has been using horses to facilitate growth, learning, and healing since 1995. Their programs serve children and adults with disabilities, abuse and neglect survivors, military veterans, first responders, and the economically compromised.
Volunteers assist with barn chores, groom and walk mini horses and donkeys, care for small animals, help at events, and some even support riders during their therapy sessions. Corporate volunteer groups are also welcome for farm maintenance, product development, and special events.
