Something special is happening at Planting Fields this summer. Long Island Chamber Music is bringing nine world-class string players — drawn from the New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Carnegie Hall's Ensemble Connect — to perform iconic orchestral masterworks in an intimate, conductorless chamber format on the grounds of the historic estate.

The program spans centuries of string music, from Grieg's Baroque-inspired Holberg Suite to Florence Price's tender Andante Cantabile, building to a radiant finale with Tchaikovsky's beloved Serenade for Strings. Grab a complimentary glass of wine and settle in for an evening where the music feels close enough to touch.

When: Saturday, August 29, 2026 · 5:30–7:00 PM
Where: Planting Fields, 1395 Planting Fields Road, Oyster Bay, NY
Cost: $45 in advance / $50 at the door (includes complimentary wine)
Note: Reservations required. Outdoor concert, rain or shine. All tickets final sale.
