The Long Island Sound is one of the most treasured natural resources in the region — and this August, you're invited to celebrate it up close. The Long Island Sound Partnership is hosting a free Celebration Day at the Waterfront Center in Oyster Bay, packed with activities for the whole family.

Hop aboard a boat trip, try your hand at kayaking or fishing, or let the kids dive into hands-on science experiments and arts and crafts. It's a rare chance to explore the waterfront and learn about the Sound in a way that's equal parts fun and meaningful.
