The Legacy String Quartet brings an evening of chamber music to the stunning courtyard of the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum on Thursday, July 2. The program features Mozart's Quartet No. 15, Mendelssohn's Quartet Op. 44 No. 3, and Villa-Lobos' Quartet No. 5 — a rich, varied program that spans centuries of string writing.
This is a young group worth knowing. The Legacy String Quartet — Olga Tourkina, Saki Uetsuhara, Drew Vella, and James Acampora, all from Long Island and New York City — made its debut in 2025 at Carnegie Hall and the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. The mansion courtyard setting makes this one of the more memorable ways to spend a summer Thursday evening on Long Island.
When: Thursday, July 2, 2026 | 6:00–7:30pm (pre-show remarks included)
Where: Mansion Courtyard, Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY
Tickets: $45
