Space camp on Long Island — right here at the Vanderbilt Planetarium. The Junior Astronomer Workshop is an immersive week-long program for children entering grades 3 through 5, led by the education team at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum's Reichert Planetarium.
Over five days, young astronomers explore our solar system, learn how to use a real telescope, identify constellations visible from Long Island, and dive into the science behind the night sky. It's the kind of week that turns a child's vague curiosity about space into genuine, lasting fascination.
