In honor of America's 250th anniversary, the Whaling Museum is bringing back one of its most time-honored crafts: scrimshaw. Try your hand at this uniquely American folk art as you sketch, etch, and ink your own scrimshaw-style keepsake. Adults and kids are both welcome.

Five-Dollar Friday is the Whaling Museum's weekly hands-on craft program, running Fridays throughout the summer. Just $5 for members, or admission plus $5 for non-members.
