Ecotherapy — also known as Shinrin-Yoku or forest bathing — is the practice of walking with nature rather than through it. This August session takes the experience to the beach, where certified guide Linda Lombardo leads a two-hour immersion in the sights, sounds, and textures of the Preserve's coastal landscape.

The practice is backed by research showing reduced cortisol, improved cognitive function, and a genuine boost in mood and energy. Whether you're a regular or trying it for the first time, this is a chance to slow down, open the senses, and feel what it means to belong in the natural world.

When: Saturday, August 8, 2026 · 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
Where: Sands Point Preserve, 127 Middle Neck Road, Sands Point, NY 11050
Cost: Members $45 · Non-members $50
