CRESLI's research cruises off Montauk continue with five sailings this week — the most of any week this month. Every trip is led by professors and scientists who have spent over three decades studying the waters off Long Island's east end. Passengers join the research effort as volunteer spotters while enjoying encounters with humpback whales, finback whales, dolphins, and more.
CRESLI has photo-identified over 272 individual humpback whales since 2009, contributing to 34 years of sightings data in the eastern New York Bight. This is real science you can be part of.
