The Breakneck Film Race is a 48-hour short film competition where local filmmakers write, shoot, edit, and score an original film from scratch over a single weekend — then screen their completed work at the Cinema Arts Centre. The result is an evening of raw, inventive filmmaking that shows what's possible when creative people work under pressure.

This is one of the CAC's most community-rooted events — a celebration of local talent and the filmmaking process itself. Expect surprises, imperfect brilliance, and a genuinely fun night out.
