The Long Island Pine Barrens Society is now accepting applications for the 2026 Robin Hopkins Amper Environmental Scholarship — named in honor of Robin Hopkins Amper and dedicated to the memory of the Society's legendary Executive Director Richard "Dick" Amper, who passed away in March 2026 after decades of protecting Long Island's Pine Barrens and drinking water.

The scholarship supports students pursuing studies in environmental science, conservation, environmental advocacy, or related fields — investing in the next generation of Long Island's environmental stewards.
