Instructor Mike Evans returns for the third year of his popular Wilderness Survival Series at Sands Point Preserve. This session focuses on Modern Firecraft — the tools, techniques, and science behind starting and maintaining fire in the field. You'll work hands-on with friction fire methods, ferro rods, and tinder preparation.
Whether you're a hiker, camper, or just curious about what it takes to survive outdoors, this is a rare chance to learn practical skills in a stunning natural setting. Open to ages 14 and up (minors must attend with an adult).
