Join our weekly beach cleanups and be part of a growing community taking real action to protect our coastline. Long Beach Cleanup is a volunteer driven movement focused on protecting our beaches, our ocean and the life that it supports. Every week, locals, families and first time volunteers come together for one simple goal: Leave the beach cleaner than we found it. No experience needed. Just show up.

When & where? Once signed up, we send out a weekly email with the details, time and location of our upcoming beach cleanup.

How long does the cleanup last? Our events last for a little over an hour. Give yourself some additional time to park and walk to the meeting spot.

What to bring? We'll provide all supplies needed for the day. Such as bags, gloves and garbage pickers. We also have hand sanitizer for use before, during and after the event. We encourage use of reusable garbage bags and gloves.

Who can join? Everyone is welcome, bring a friend: individuals, families, students, sport teams, scouts, organizations and groups.

Do I need experience to volunteer? No experience is needed! We'll provide you with everything you need to help out.

What should I wear? Comfortable clothes and weather appropriate gear. Sneakers can be left at the meeting spot.

Can we get community service hours? Yes, students and volunteers of all ages can get service hours for volunteering at our events. Please bring whatever paperwork needs to be signed and look for a lead organizer.
