Lace up your boots and join the North Shore Land Alliance for a morning of hands-on conservation. Part of the popular Walks in the Woods series, Walk & Weed pairs a guided hike through one of NSLA's protected preserves with a chance to learn how to spot — and pull — the invasive species that threaten Long Island's native habitats.
Led by naturalists Jane Jackson and Peter Meleady, you'll explore the trails, discover what makes certain plants invasive, and leave the preserve a little healthier than you found it. It's equal parts outdoor education and feel-good stewardship — no experience necessary.
