St. Vincent de Paul Long Island is looking for compassionate volunteers to join their network of over 1,200 Vincentians serving neighbors in need across Long Island. As a Vincentian volunteer, you'll provide direct, person-to-person assistance through home visits — meeting privately with individuals and families to understand their situation, offer support, and build lasting relationships.
Volunteers help with everything from providing financial aid, food, and clothing to connecting families with essential resources. These visits often uncover challenges beyond the initial request, helping SVDPLI offer real, meaningful solutions right in your own community.
SVDPLI also runs two thrift stores — in Huntington and Garden City — that welcome volunteers to help sort donations, assist customers, and support store operations.
Where: Nassau and Suffolk Counties — volunteers serve through local parish Conferences
Cost: FREE
Note: Training provided. Contact SVDPLI at 516-822-3132 or visit the website to get started.
