Early November is seed season. Coneflowers, asters and grasses are holding next year's garden in their dried heads. At ReWild Long Island's garden at the Thomas Dodge Homestead in Port Washington, volunteers are out on Saturday mornings gathering them up.

Come help collect seeds, plant natives, harvest the last organic vegetables, and do some light pruning, weeding and watering, with friendly chapter volunteers showing you the ropes. It's two easy, outdoor hours that leave the garden ready for winter and the pollinators better off. All ages are welcome, and no experience is necessary.
