It's the last Sunday of the season at ReWild Long Island's native garden at Tanglewood Preserve, tucked beside a quiet pond in Rockville Centre — and a great excuse to spend a crisp fall morning outside doing something good for local wildlife.

Volunteers will plant native species, collect seeds for next year, pull invasive plants, and handle some pruning and watering, all while picking up practical tips on sustainable gardening from the South Nassau chapter crew. No experience needed. Bonus: once you log 10+ volunteer hours with ReWild, you get 20% off at their spring and fall native plant sales.

When: Sunday, November 1, 2026 · 9:00–11:00am
Where: Tanglewood Preserve, 1450 Tanglewood Road, Rockville Centre, NY 11570 (garden is beside the pond)
Cost: FREE
Note: Registration through ReWild's volunteer portal.
