Save the Great South Bay's Creek Defender team is looking for volunteers to help care for the Skip Gardner Native Forest and Butterfly Garden in Babylon Village. After a major restoration to remove invasive species and plant native habitat, these gardens need ongoing stewardship to keep thriving.

Volunteers meet on the fourth Saturday of each month for a two-hour session. You'll help remove invasive plants like mugwort, do light weeding, and assist with basic garden maintenance. No experience is necessary — the team will show you exactly what to do. By giving just two hours a month, you'll help create healthier habitat for pollinators, birds, and native wildlife.
