Save the Great South Bay needs volunteers to help maintain their community oyster garden in Babylon. It's hands-on conservation work that makes a real difference — and you don't need any experience to pitch in.

Each week, volunteers pull oyster-filled milk crates from the water, hose them down, count and measure the baby oysters (called spat), and return the crates. You never go in the water, and you can come for one session or every week — whatever works for you.
