Lace up your hiking boots and join Tim Corwin of the Southampton Trails Preservation Society for a 4-mile guided walk through one of the South Fork's hidden gems. Tuckahoe Woods Preserve spans 160 acres of mature woodland, meadows, and streams — a landscape that reveals itself beautifully in November.

The well-cleared trails wind through moderate terrain before reaching an overlook with sweeping views across the bay to the North Fork. The route continues to the shore of Lake Missapogue, also known as Big Fresh Pond. It's a perfect fall morning to discover a preserve that most Long Islanders have yet to explore.
