Cold Spring Harbor has one of the most storied waterfronts on Long Island's North Shore — a historic harbor surrounded by protected land, teeming with wildlife, and largely invisible to anyone who hasn't been on the water. The Summer Paddle changes that.
Launching from the Shore Road Sanctuary, paddlers will explore the harbor by kayak or canoe, taking in the natural beauty of the shoreline and watching for the birds, fish, and marine life that make Cold Spring Harbor such a significant ecological resource. The pace is relaxed and the scenery does the work.
This is an NSLA-guided experience — you'll have knowledgeable naturalists on the water with you, making it as informative as it is beautiful.
Led by Peter Martin and co-listed with Eagle Dock Beach Club.
