Position: Special Event Manager
Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Northport, NY (Onsite)
Pay: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk (VNSHS) is looking for a Special Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events that drive donor engagement, community involvement, and revenue growth in support of VNSHS programs and services across Suffolk County.
You'll oversee logistics and production for annual signature events and smaller-scale fundraisers, coordinate timelines, venue selection, sponsorship activation, and vendor relationships. You'll also collaborate with the Race Director on the annual 5K run/walk, build relationships with donors, sponsors, committees, and volunteers, and manage event budgets and post-event revenue reports.
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience), at least 3 years of nonprofit special event fundraising experience, peer-to-peer fundraising experience, and golf outing and/or gala fundraising experience. Strong proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office is expected.
