Island Harvest Food Bank is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) SNAP Program Coordinator to join their team in Melville. In this role, you'll conduct community outreach and education about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), helping Long Island residents understand and access the benefits they're entitled to.

You'll pre-screen potential applicants, assist with application completion, and provide follow-up support throughout the process. The position involves building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, attending outreach events, and tracking program data to measure impact.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, experience in social services or community outreach, and a genuine passion for fighting hunger on Long Island. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as you'll travel to various community locations across the region.
