What does a season look like from the inside of it? Artist Nicole Titus has spent time at the Humes Preserve exploring exactly that — and on June 19th, she's inviting you to find out for yourself.

In this combined talk and hands-on art workshop, participants will first hear from Nicole about her creative process and her experience drawing inspiration from the preserve's native flora. Then you'll head outside to explore the grounds yourself before returning to create a small abstract artwork inspired by what you saw, felt, and noticed along the way.

No artistic experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and look closely at what's growing around you.

When: Friday, June 19, 2026 | 5:00pm
Where: Education Annex, Humes Preserve, 349 Oyster Bay Road, Locust Valley, NY
Cost: $25 per person; all materials provided
