The Whaling Museum has two hands-on activities running all month long for young visitors. At the self-serve craft station, kids can create their own nautical-themed projects — perfect for a rainy afternoon or a quick creative break between galleries.

Then there's the Boats Ahoy Scavenger Hunt, which sends families exploring the museum's collection to track down different types of vessels. It's a fun way to keep little ones engaged while they learn about Long Island's maritime heritage.
