There's something immediately calming about standing in a field of lavender — and at Bayard Cutting Arboretum's CSA Farm, you can do more than just admire it. In this hands-on workshop, participants learn about the arboretum's organically grown lavender and its uses for self-care, then get to work harvesting and sifting dried petals themselves.
By the end of the morning, you'll leave with a jar of lavender-scented bath salts and a weighted lavender eye pillow — both made by hand, from plants grown right here on Long Island's South Shore.
