There's nothing quite like locking eyes with a bald eagle from a few feet away. At the Vanderbilt Museum's annual Raptor Day, WINORR (Wildlife in Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation) brings its unreleasable rescued raptors — bald eagle, golden eagle, falcon, owls, and hawks — so everyone can see these magnificent birds up close.

A professional falconer will also give a presentation and live demonstration with a raptor in flight. Kids get free raptor face painting, and there's a raffle plus an art auction of eagle photographs donated by Bald Eagles of Centerport photographers. It all happens rain or shine in the Celebration Tent, and proceeds support WINORR and the Museum.
