Evenings at the Arboretum evening grounds tours offer a serene experience at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
As the sun sets over Bayard Cutting Arboretum's ancient oaks, something shifts. The crowds thin, the light goes golden, and the gardens reveal themselves in a way they simply don't at noon. That's the idea behind Evenings at the Arboretum — a summer series of guided evening tours that turns a familiar place into something altogether different.
This installment focuses on Oak Park, where Arboretum horticulturists and volunteer grounds docents guide guests through historic trees and architectural features as the landscape transforms in the evening light.
After the tour, stick around for a happy hour featuring local beer, wine, botanical mocktails, appetizers, live music, and local artists. It's a proper evening out, set against one of Long Island's most beautiful backdrops.
