"Meet your neighbors, swap seeds, and watch your garden — and your community — grow." That's the whole idea behind ReWild Long Island's North Fork seed swap, and it's about as wholesome as a Saturday morning gets.
Bring native seeds or plants from your own garden, plus a few envelopes to carry home what other gardeners share. No seeds? Come anyway. The organizers will have seeds on hand and tips for first-time seed savers. Stay to compare notes on what thrived this year, what flopped, and what you're dreaming of planting next spring. Gardeners of every experience level are welcome. The swap coincides with the North Fork chapter's monthly gathering.
When: Saturday, November 14, 2026 · 10:00am–12:00pm
Where: Downs Farm Preserve, 23800 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY 11935
Note: Registration recommended. Bring native seeds or plants and some envelopes. Can't make it? A second swap is planned for Monday, November 16 at the Southold Free Library.
