Salt marshes are among the most productive ecosystems on earth — filtering water, buffering storms, and sheltering an astonishing range of wildlife. Most of us drive past them without a second glance. This walk invites you to stop, look, and listen.
Join ReWild Long Island for a guided mindful walk through the salt marsh at Northwest Harbor County Park. You’ll learn about the critical role these habitats play in Long Island’s ecology while practicing a slower, more intentional way of moving through the landscape. Free, but registration is required.
