Monarchs are beginning their incredible migration south, and your little ones can learn all about it at Planting Fields. This hands-on session from the Little Learners series is designed for children ages 2–5 and their grown-ups — a perfect mix of storytelling, creative crafting, and outdoor discovery.

Kids will enjoy a fluttery story about monarch butterflies, learn about their amazing journey, and create a winged craft to take home. Then it’s outside to explore the gardens and grounds, keeping an eye out for the real thing. It’s a gentle, joyful way to connect young children with the natural world — and one of the most colorful chapters in Planting Fields’ year-round Little Learners series.

Where: Education Center, Planting Fields, 1395 Planting Fields Road, Oyster Bay, NY
