The Vanderbilt Planetarium is running a summer series of laser music shows — and this weekend kicks off with two good ones. Friday night features Laser Bruno Mars, set to the hits of one of music's most dynamic performers. Saturday night shifts gears with Laser Depeche Mode, pairing the band's electronic sound with a full dome of laser visuals.

These shows run at 9:30 PM, making them a solid option for a summer night out that's a little different from the usual. The planetarium's dome makes the laser experience immersive in a way a regular screen can't match.
