Position: Institutional Giving Officer
Type: Full-time
Location: Port Washington, NY
Pay: $93,500/year
North Shore Animal League America — the world's largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization — is looking for a seasoned fundraising professional to lead and grow its institutional giving program. As Institutional Giving Officer, you'll build and execute strategy for securing support from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other institutional funders.
This role puts you at the heart of NSALA's mission-driven fundraising operation. You'll manage a portfolio of institutional donors and prospects, write and submit compelling grant proposals, and cultivate relationships with funder representatives. You'll also maintain a grants calendar, prepare narrative and financial reports, and track performance against annual goals — all in support of an organization that has saved more than 1.2 million animals since 1944.
The ideal candidate brings at least five years of experience in grant writing, foundation relations, or institutional fundraising, with a proven record of securing five-figure grants. Strong writing, organizational, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with experience using donor databases and fundraising software. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
