As the leaves begin to turn, there's no better way to soak in the beauty of Long Island's Gold Coast than on a guided walking tour of Planting Fields. Every Friday and Saturday through October, a Garden Guide leads you through the estate's remarkable collection of rare plant specimens, champion trees, and natural habitats — all shaped by the vision of W.R. Coe and landscape designers including the legendary Olmsted Brothers.

The one-hour tour winds through gardens in peak autumn bloom and finishes with a stop at the stunning new Oudolf Garden, designed by the world-renowned plantsman Piet Oudolf. Families are welcome.
