Volunteering is one of the most direct ways to end hunger on Long Island. In fact, Island Harvest rely on 60,000+ hours of annual service from their volunteers to support their mission!
Join us on your own, with your family, or as a corporate team to help deliver fresh, nutritious food to neighbors in need. Along the way, you’ll build connections, give back locally, and see firsthand how your time makes a difference.
Some volunteer opportunities include:
Warehouse Volunteers
Build Senior Food Boxes, sort donations, and distribute food to our network of food pantries and soup kitchens.
Food Distributions
Distribute food, including loading cars and home deliveries, at community and mobile sites.
Office Support
Make phone calls, copies, and other office work, including opportunities to volunteer from home.
