Position: Event and Fundraising Specialist
Type: Part-time (7–20 hours/week)
Location: Port Washington, NY
Pay: $25–$35/hour
Hours: Vary by calendar; evenings and weekends as needed
The Art Guild of Port Washington — a nonprofit dedicated to visual arts education, exploration, and exhibition — is seeking an Event and Fundraising Specialist to lead and support its key fundraising events. In even years that means a gala; in odd years, an in-house art auction. You'll also manage or support smaller events like CreARTive (a free children's art day in August), art receptions, a TAG sale, and an Open House.
The role is hands-on: securing and stewarding sponsorships, building relationships with donors and volunteers, recruiting and managing event committees, and collaborating with the Executive Director on budgets and post-event evaluations. Grant writing experience is a plus. All TAG employees also pitch in at the front desk, greeting visitors and handling class registrations.
A bachelor's degree is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. At least three years of nonprofit fundraising experience and event planning experience are preferred. If you've been coordinating events or managing donor relationships in the corporate or nonprofit world and are looking for a flexible, part-time role with a mission-driven arts organization, this is worth a look.
