Almost two years after the dam broke at Stump Pond, a striking new landscape has emerged. The drained pond revealed the Nissequogue River flowing through mud flats now alive with scores of native plant species and wildlife taking advantage of the transformed habitat.
Join the North Shore Land Alliance — co-listed with Seatuck Environmental Association — for a guided walk around the pond perimeter led by Darcy McDowell, Enrico Nardone, and Steve Young. This event is sold out, but you can call to join the waitlist.
