North Shore Land Alliance is delighted to announce the return of our second season of photography exhibits, “Discover Nature Through a New Lens”, at the Welcome Hut (located adjacent to the Humes Preserve parking area).
This is an invitation to experience the natural world from fresh and unexpected perspectives. Three photographers offer a glimpse into nature’s quiet wonders: the glimmer in a drop of rain, the brilliance of a single leaf, the majesty of freshly fallen snow and the mystery of a shadow, encouraging us to slow down and look more closely at what surrounds us.

The first exhibition showcases emerging talent from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. These standout images are the product of an internal contest inspired by the theme “Sea to Seed: Spring at the Lab.” Blending science and artistry, the selected photographs offer an intimate portrait of the natural world at the Lab in spring.
