Position: Development Operations and Grant Administrator
Type: Part-time
Location: Hybrid, Deer Park, NY (some travel across Long Island)
Pay: $27–$32 per hour
Hours: About 15 hours per week

Girls Inc. of Long Island is looking for an organized, detail-minded person to keep its fundraising engine moving. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is the behind-the-scenes backbone of the development effort: it is not a frontline fundraising, strategy, or events position.

Development operations and CRM: Serve as primary administrator for Network for Good, keep donor and prospect records accurate, build donor lists (lapsed, recurring, campaign segments), support gift processing and acknowledgments, and produce routine reports for leadership and the Board.

Grants administration: Coordinate foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities, verify eligibility and deadlines, build submission checklists and timelines, draft routine LOIs, applications, renewals, and funder reports from approved materials, and keep compliance and reporting files organized.

Pipeline and committee support: Track individual, foundation, and corporate prospects and next actions, prepare prospect profiles and meeting materials, and provide administrative and data support to the Board's Fund Development Committee.

What they're looking for: Strong organizational and proofreading skills, experience in nonprofit development, grants administration, or fundraising operations, proficiency with Google Workspace and spreadsheets, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with limited supervision. CRM experience is a plus (Network for Good preferred, not required), as is comfort with AI-enabled tools and automated workflows.

Note: Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Extra hours may be needed around major grant deadlines or campaigns.
