Seatuck Environmental Association is looking for a Development Manager to help power its fundraising strategy. This is a relationship-driven role — you’ll be cultivating donors, building corporate partnerships, and supporting events that fuel the organization’s conservation and education work across Long Island.
About 60% of the role centers on fundraising events and campaigns: planning donor outings, running appeals, identifying new revenue streams, and analyzing donor data.
Another 30% is dedicated to corporate giving, where you’ll serve as the lead relationship manager for Seatuck’s Conservation Partners program and organize networking events that connect businesses with the mission.
The remaining 10% supports grant management — researching opportunities, tracking deadlines, and writing proposals.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with strong donor cultivation and stewardship skills. You’ll report to the Development Director and work closely with conservation and communications staff. Evening and weekend availability is required for events and donor cultivation.
Key Responsibilities: Fundraising event planning and execution · Donor acquisition, cultivation, and solicitation · Corporate Conservation Partners retention and recruitment · Grant research and proposal writing · Donor data analysis and CRM management
Qualifications: 5+ years nonprofit fundraising experience · Strong interpersonal and writing skills · Project and event management track record · Proficiency in Google Suite and fundraising databases
