Planting Fields Foundation is seeking an Associate Director of Development to provide leadership, strategy, and oversight for all aspects of the Foundation's development initiatives. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this role is a central member of a 28-person team supporting a $3.3 million operating budget at one of Long Island's most treasured cultural landscapes — a 409-acre former Gold Coast estate in Oyster Bay.

The Associate Director leads a three-person Development team and is responsible for designing and maintaining a prospect management system, building a robust pipeline of individual, institutional, and corporate prospects, and developing annual and multi-year fundraising plans. Key areas of focus include prospect management and individual giving, institutional giving and grant writing, database oversight using Blackbaud Altru, research and analytical reporting, and staff management and collaboration across departments.

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of progressive nonprofit development experience, a proven track record in securing funds through grant writing and individual fundraising, and strong skills in budget management, strategic thinking, and team leadership. Experience with Blackbaud Altru software and comfort working with elected officials and board members are essential.
