On the eve of the 25th anniversary of September 11th, Cinema Arts Centre presents a powerful documentary screening that brings the stories of Long Island's first responders to the big screen. 9/11 An American Requiem features testimonies from firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and construction workers who assisted during the attacks, drawn from the Remembering 9/11 oral history project — accounts of courage, sacrifice, loss, and renewal.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Executive Producer Benjamin J. Luft, MD — Director of the Stony Brook WTC Health & Wellness Program — Producer Julie A. Broihier, and Long Island first responders featured in the film. Co-presented by the Stony Brook WTC Health & Wellness Program.
